Created in 2016, Le Bal Rouge has raised over $8.75 million to support excellence in patient care, research and teaching at the McGill University Health Centre. This glamorous event has supported surgical innovation, cardiovascular care, ophthalmology and more to keep our community healthy.

After two years, Le Bal Rouge was back with a vengeance raising more than $2,000,000. This year’s fiery edition raised funds in support of MI4, the McGill Interdisciplinary Initiative in Infection and Immunity.

Although cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bal Rouge 2020 was one of our most successful galas ever, raising over $730,000 for our Fix Broken Hearts campaign in support of cardiology at the MUHC.

2019

Le Bal Rouge 2019 at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth honoured the achievements of Dr. Miguel Burnier, Director of the MUHC’s Ocular Pathology Laboratory. The event raised $1 million to support research into rare eye diseases.
